Greek Yogurt Revisited

In the past I decried the foul taste of Greek yogurt. I bought some more today with the idea of giving it the old college try. I cautiously sampled it only to discover that it is actually good. I figured it out, the last time I bought yoplait Greek yogurt and it just wasn't good. This time I bought Chobani and it has made a world of difference. I want to try Fage next, or maybe I should stop while I'm ahead.

Maybe the one I tried had gone bad cause it was super sour. The Chobani is so good just needs more fruit. So I'll just put extra pineapple in the pineapple Chobani.

I mix plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 & 1/2, & Sugar Free White Chocolate Pudding. Yummieness, just like cheesecake with lots of protein.

Have you tried Greek Tzadziki salad? Here is a recipe but I use less garlic and herbs. Sometimes I mix in seedless Greek olives. There are lots of variations. You can use it as is, or as a veggie dip or as a sauce with fish and meats.

During the summer it is a refreshing staple in my home. Give it a try.

Be aware of the carbs in Greek yogurt that is flavored.  You can make nearly 0 carb Greek yougurt (and save money) by buying the highest fat content plain Greek yogurt you can find and adding splenda and sugar free preserves (strawberry is my favorite) or sugar free pudding mix.  This way you can make it as sweet as you like and not get all the carbs that are loaded in the pre-flavored kind.
