Yahoo! Be prepared your life is gonna change for the better! I remember before surgery (I am 3 years out) I was so nervous back and forth every day (should I, shouldn't I?) thank God I went with my gut and did it! My life is sooooooooo much better!
Nothing is with out its challenges. The surgery and recovery sucked, I can't eat alot of the foods I love, but I can basically eat all I want as much as I want as long as I follow the protein rule. I can't eat bread or pasta and that's a challenge (I can eat a small portion of Dreamfields pasta) but its so worth it. I'd do with out a slice of bread to walk into Macy's an buy a size 8 jeans! I no longer have diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Life is pretty good from where I'm sitting, I just wish I had done it sooner!
Good luck to you, the next year will be filled with challenges and triumphs!
PM me if you have any questions and I'll see if I can help! :)
Anne
