Both Vets/Newbies - What did or are you going to do when reaching goal?

Are you planning on doing something or if you are a Vet (did you) for when you reach or reached your goal weight?

I've been really thinking about this.  I am a person when I set out to do something, at the end I will treat myself.

I am going to plan a special weekend trip for that time.  Depending on where I'm at with my job situation.  Maybe even one of those 3 or 4 day cruises.

Funny you should ask that, I started the process of geting approved for surgery 45 days ago and was approved yesrerday. My wife just started her process for surgery last week and she asked me that same question this morning.

I have no idea but since she asked me, I figured she knew what she wanted to do so I asked her. She wants to get a tattoo on her eyes, permanent eye liner.

We have a standing goal of going on a cruise so that will happen too.

I didn't do anything when I reached goal (it was a moving target and I didn't really know when I reached it until my body told me it had settled).

But a LONG time ago my husband promised me diamonds when I weighed less than him and he did follow through on that promise!

I just had my own internal celebration when I bought my first size 8.

Nothing.  Maybe I took a picture.

In general, it'd be best to celebrate something you actually have control over--like how compliant you are, instead of how much weight you lose.  What if you don't reach your goal weight?  Do you not get the prize?

You look great!

I've been through a living hell with this surgery... I will do something at the time.  It may not be "weight" exactly it may be a size.   The Surgeon didn't give me any goals.  I set my own.  At the rate I am going.  For example, when I get down to wear a certain size,  I will do something to celebrate.  That's how I was brought up.  Always Optimistic !!!  If I wouldn't have been positive through the pancreatitis episodes, not sure what I would have done.  I'm very goal oriented.  I'm very driven.

We are all on this journey.  Some days are easy, some days are hard.  The support of this group makes a difference!

I'm over three years out. I took a trip to a warm place where I could  wear my size 8 swim suit. Brought along my young adult kids and could keep up with them on hikes and  sightseeing. (Went to the French and Italian Riviera) You can see my photos on my profile LOL  I have been trying to do another "warm weather" trip each year I can stay within goal weight. (second year Caribbean, this year Turkey and Greece.) The scale has started to go up and I won't allow myself to plan a trip until it goes down some.! Gotta start saving those nickels and dimes because I know another trip will be in order LOL.

Didn't have a specific goal other than the pleasure of getting to enjoy life.  Was basically a shut-in before weight-loss so that freedom was the "prize" so to speak.

When I can comfortably fit in an airline seat, I am planning to go to Oregon to learn how to make my own shoes.  (I have big feet and can't wear women's shoes, so I've wanted to learn to make my own.)
