Low Carb Tiramisu & Cream Cheese Pancakes (w pics)
Tiramisu

Pancakes
My first attempt at the pancakes was awful but I so liked the thought of tiramisu it was worth another try and they were delish (if you read the links you'll the pancakes go in the tiramisu).
For Brits out there, these work out best if you make them the size of Scotch pancakes not crêpes (I may have to get a smaller frying pan for them to turn out prettier).

They both come close - I think it's my chocolate substitute as it hits 'sweet' spot quite nicely!!

It's not exactly the same but a great substitute. I'm now lusting after low carb cheesecake (pumpkin methinks), so I'm gonna have to get Googling!!

Several creme brulees come up when you Google low carb creme brulee. You'll have to let me know how it works out. My concern is the heat stability of sweetener at such a high temperature so I'd be really interested to hear how you do.

Wondered about the cream cheese pancakes people were posting about. Basically the same thing as ricotta cheese pancakes or even cottage cheese pancakes which all taste about the same as the fried queso fresco cheese IMO. Thanks for the tiramisu link.
Yes, I was surprised that people over here didn't know about them - I mentioned it in my bites n vites one day and got some interest so thought it merited a thread of its own.
I've not tried different variants of cheese as I stick to Lactofree cream cheese regular cream cheese caused me cramps and bloating as a pre-op so I'm not try things like that post op!!
