Has anyone else had experience with Bolthouse Farms protein coffee? Chai Tea? What other flavors are good?

Hi,

I had not heard of this brand so just looked it up here http://bolthouse.com/product/proteinpluscoffee. There are 26g of carbs for 16g of protein so I don't think it is a great choice for us. The protein iced latte drink I am getting from Bariactric Advantage has around 30g of protein for 9g of carbs.

Do you order these online or are they at a local store? Just wondering.

Thanks, Terri

How does that taste. I didn't like the BA when I tried it. Not the coffee, just the protein shake mix. Gotta be a way to make it using real home brewed coffee instead of synthetic "stuff". Experimentation time!!!!

I love the taste of most of the Chocolate and Mango Bolthouse Protein Plus but it is high in carbs.  On the other hand I can keep it down so I drink about 8 ounces a day and use Atkins for my other 8 ounces.   I am loosing steadily.

I use my own brewed decaf hazelnut with either a little espresso or french roast for a darker color (I use coffee beans and a coffee grinder, so I buy a mix of beans in bulk).  I also buy in bulk 100% unflavored whey protein isolate as my protein powder.

Unflavored, so I can add my own extracts for any flavor I want.  I use heavy cream and whole milk to make my shakes. I sweeten with Splenda, but will try the new sweetener, Nutresse, as soon as I get my sample in the mail.

For me, this way is much less expensive than buying the flavored whey, and all I have to do to try a new flavor is get a bottle of extract!

I have had the Bolthouse juices, and they are to die for!
