Hi

Was wondering can we have gluten free bread/pasta and food like that, would it create the same problem as having carbs?

Thanks

What do you mean as in problems? Everyone reacts different as far as gas ect.. Some people can't tolerate gluten free, just like some can't handle regular carbs without getting gas or the runs.. Me personally I ate pretty much gluten free when it came to pasta bread cookies.. I'm now 1.5 years out reached goal got Prego so I find I can tolerate more carbs than before with less side effects.. But I still eat pretty low carb and gluten free, as my body seems to respond and thrive well this way. Once my baby is born will go back to less carbs, I had to up my carbs to stop losing weight during pregnancy. Hope this helps and actually answered your question.

Gluten free foods might give you less side effects because there is no wheat bu****ch the labels because it can have just as many carbs as the regular food...

Read labels, gluten free stuff can have way more sugar.  Still full of carbs because it is usually made with rice or an alternative grain or potatoes.  I am gluten free and try to stay away from all the processed gluten free stuff, lots of sugar and calories, even if you do not have a bad reaction to them.

I try to eat gluten free but find that gluten free bread products often give me more issues than regular gluten-containing foods. A lot are made with brown rice flour or bean flours and I don't tolerate those well at all.

I find that the whiter the bread the easier it is for me to digest. I don't eat whole wheat anything as a result.

But, carbs are carbs whether they contain gluten or not. If you are still losing--limit them.
