I also had a bag of pork scratchings (for the first time ever!!) - I think that's quite English, you may know it as pork rinds or pork crackling.  It had 20g of protein, but it doesn't count, boo hoo! :-( They were nice all the same though!! ;) ...will try making pepperoni crisps next

E Meh - despite the extra hour's sleep I felt sleepy, ordered Shaun T's Insanity so will be kicking it up several notches soon (I can convince myself to exercise if it's for my bones)
   
I split out the zinc from my other vites as you suggested - it was so easy, wish I'd done it sooner!! ;)

Sounds like you had a really good day. Nice protein numbers. I might have to start frying my own fatback. Our grocer has stopped carrying pork rinds. : (

Glad splitting out the zinc is working for you.

BITES: (Weight Loss Mode)
B - 1 Protein Shake
2nd B - 2 eggs with cheese, 2 pieces of Bacon
S - 2 Handfuls of Pecans
L - 1/2 Wendy's Apple Pecan Chicken Salad (although it took me 2 hrs, nearly ate all of the salad)
S - Protein Shake x 2 (42 grams total)
D - 2 eggs w/cheese
S - TBD

I did have "literally" 2 bites of a spice cake at work.  (someone brought it for our department)  Have mercy, that was the worst thing I could have tried.  I have not had any sweets like that, I know not to try it again for a long time!  It's made my day misery (bloating & gas)!  I'm still learning !  I did get in my protein though even though I didn't feel like putting one thing in my mouth after that cake!  This week, I'm adding other nuts to see how I do plus the Seeds.  That will help bump up my protein as well.

I do have a question, I have a hard time getting the protein shakes down sometimes.   I drink them over a few hours w/my water, is that ok?  That's been today.

I think we're always learning. Hang in there. You're doing fine with your shakes. Slow and steady is good.

so far the rain is light.  maybe sandy will fizzle out???  doubtful if you listen to the weather people.   be careful out there.

 

double protein coffee

1 slice rye toast w/ melted cheddar

sunflower seeds

3 mini cinnamon donuts

bacon cheeseburger (hubs makes the best - nom nom nom)

broccoli

few oven fries

planned:  my usual nightcap - double protein coffee

They've already closed our schools for Mon and Tues; and the Fed Gov't is closed tomorrow. Yikes! You play it safe the next day or 2 as well, Noreen. Be careful out there.

Hi Gina,
I saw on the news where the govt offices are closed tomorrow. Be safe!! Had a baby shower to go to this afternoon, felt out of my element...too old. Haha.

I felt like the only grandma in the room at a baby shower too. lol  Hard not to give too much advice but these gals had done their homework.

Staying low this afternoon when the storm starts to get bad. It's not going to be pretty.
