Chafing between stomach and groin skin folks

I had this problem terribly BEFORE my DS, and I expected it to get worse afterward, as I lost weight. But I found a miracle cure!

I make my own panties, and I cut them so that they have a bit of a cup, like a bra does---only this one holds my saggy belly-skin. This prevents skin-to-skin contact, and I NEVER get the rash any more.

did you go by a pattern or simply made it up as you lost?

I started with a pattern for a bathing suit, and modified it to make the 'cup'. And then I altered it as I lost. I make them from spandex, and not only do they keep me from getting the ra**** really helps hold my loose, floppy skin in place, makes my pants fit better, etc.

After drying the skin well, try Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel.

I found this awesome product called ChafeAway at ChafeAway.com. It's a body wrap that is like a bandaid. It totally stops the chafing of the skin and its non latex for all of you that are allergic. I believe but don't quote me that it can be worn for over a day. I have a feeling that they are coming out with more sizes. When I first discovered it they only had the 5 inch oval now they have circles. 4 or 8 come in a pack. Trust me it is a life saver for my skin. I then after searching other gels and lotions realized its on Ebay cheaper than the web site. Try It and feel free to email me back with your feedback.. Good luck ladies!

After drying skin with blow dryer, did successfully use antiperspirant under breasts for the same type of problem you describe.  Once you get your skin healed up with anti fungal cream you might try an antiperspirant in your problem area.

RNY to DS  210 lbs gone for 5 years.

Hi Route66

replying to your skin fold rash, I'm heavy myself and get that all the time under my stomach. It shows up out of the blue, stings like crazy, oozes, and has bad odor. It's a bacterial and fungal rash called intertrigo! The only quick cure that really works is antifungal creams or ointments that cure athletes foot such as lotrimen, tenacten, or blue star ointment. Once you kill the bacteria and fungal part of it, the rash will heal quickly. To prevent intertrigo rash, keep skin folds clean and dry. Use anti bacterial soaps such as dial to clean skin folds thoroughly daily, dry skin fold well and apply gold bond powder to stay dry.

Hope this helps, you can read more on intrigo on google also.
