Hiya :)  Im coming back, groveling...  Yeah, my eating has gotten OUT of control.  I have ZERO restriction anymore.  i could eat all day long if I wanted to...  THIS is a major problem to me.  I am also really, really SICK of protein.  Im over it.  Plain and simple.  BACON doesnt even taste good to me anymore.  I haven't really gained (OK, Ive gained about 10lbs, but Im assuming most of that was bounceback), and have been weight stable for about a year now.  In any case, I NEED to come back here and get my eating back on track.  I also need to get back into trail running and/or the gym, but a serious injury has had me pretty much sedentary for the last 4 months and Ive turned into a squishy blob of ick from muscle atrophy...  SO...  OK.  Anyway.  Hi, and please don't be gentle!

For those that don't know me- Im about 2.5 years post DS.  I got down below goal, and have gained back about 10lbs from my lowest, putting me just about 5lbs over goal.  Time to come clean.

B- protein coffee (at least Im still doing something right)
S- bacon/egg/cheese croissant (yes, the whole croissant)
L- 2 pieces extra cheese pizza (with everything but the end crusts)
S- 2 small pancakes with syrup
S- Milky Way bar (1 out of the 2 bar King Size packs)
D- 6oz steak, 1/2c cornbread stuffing, 2 sugar cookies for dessert
S- 3" Italian sub with cheese on white hoagie roll
S- 1/2c trail mix with nuts, raisins & M&Ms in it
S- 1/2c frosted shredded wheat in milk

Crap, crap, crap, carbs, sugar, crap!    HELP!

Got all my fluids and vites in (well except the bedtime batch Im about to gulp down that is).
Exercise- ummm.  None.  I literally sat on my butt most of the day.  Ugh.

Bean!

You want to nip those 10 pounds in the bud right now, because let me tell you, at 5 years out those 10 pounds are going to turn into 20 or 30 and it won't be easy to lose them any more.  Time to detox those carbs and clear the house of them. Have you read the articles about how bad grains are for everybody not just DSrs?  Come on now, get a grip! I'm here to help but you have to meet me half way.

CARBS ARE EVIL!!!!

Yep, thats what Im afraid of!  I got into this mindset that I could pretty much eat whatever I wanted...  I allowed myself to do it because of how hard I was training, and I was remaining weight stable.  I gained the 10lbs right at about 1.5 years out, and at that time, I was training hard and still keeping carbs to about 100g or less per day.  So I chalked it up to muscle and a bit of bounce back.  Now, Ive lost a good bit of that muscle, but the 10lbs are still here, and that is NOT OK!  They have GOT to go.  10lbs is a lot easier to face than 20 or 30.

I am going to kick this carb addiction.  I have to.  I know how bad they are!!!!  It's like I forgot how to low carb.  I need recipes and ideas again, which is exactly why Im back here!

Just wondering, do you take flagyl for gas?  If not, what allows you to eat all those carbs and not nuke the house with intestinal gas?

RNY to DS  210 lbs gone for 5 years.

Nope, dont take anything.  Most carbs dont bother me.  Ive narrowed it down to a few things- cheap freezer pizzas, too much chocolate.  Thats about it.  Even then, its never too bad.  I almost wish I had issues, it would probably curb my carb binges, LOL!
