Vetted doctors???

Ok I already know who I am going to have for my surgery and he is vetted but what the heck does Vetted mean?

Performed enough surgeries, with few complications, to satisfy a group of DSers.

Well, the way we use it around here, referring to "vetted" DS srugeons means they're listed at www.dsfacts.com

Basically, it means that the community of DS patients have had good experiences with him, he's performed more than 100 procedures, he trained with reputable DS surgeon, and he's been iin a stable practice for a while. New surgeons get added, when enough people have had good outcomes, and surgeons get deleted when they've had enough bad outcomes or seem to have gone off the rails---moved too often, left people hanging, done some questionable procedures, etc.
