Looks like no help for me

I called Dr. Kreshakian (sp?) office.  I explained that I had reactive hypoglycemia, pain my pouch, and other issues not related to weight.  If I were at goal weight, they could help me, but since I am not they inquired using an obese code and that eliminated any hope of getting these issues taken care of.   Silva said she had to use that specific code.  So I will have to endure these issues until I am at goal weight  MAKES NO SENSE!

Don't confuse Insurance Co BS with Medical Advice!

I was fortunate in having "executive level" coverage from BC/BS in 2003, so I missed out on 90% of the BS. Like racism, jus because your lilly white skin means that you don't see 90% of it does NOT mean that it does not exist!

The only solution is to keep fighting them! My surgeon had a staff of 4 devoted to fighting Insurance BS, other MD's report 1-2 "clerks" per MD. Can you say "WASTE OF RESOURCES"?

Much (but NOT all) of that goes away with the ACA ("Obamacare") in 2014.
