What's your vitamin regime?

Please share your vitamin regimes with me.  I am certain mine needs some tweaking ESPECIALLY since I have not been taking ADEK since Axcan Pharma became hard to access.  I KNOW how bad that is.  What do you all take for that?

Here's what I'm doing currently:

Morning:

2 iron pills, 2 folic acid pills (trying to get pregnant), 2 multivitamin pills (off brand of centrum), 20,000 ius of vitamin D (it's not dry, a green pill with oil inside)

Lunch, Dinner, Bedtime:

2 citricals dissolved in orange juice

I have had my labs done every year.  My iron and D has been low, so I have a prescription for vitamin D and a few times had a round of prescription iron.  Everything else has been fine.

My DS book from the surgery center says this (looking at the one just issued to my husband, my old one had most of this info, but no the one about bariatric advantage multi):

-Multivitamin: Take a high potency multivitamin

-ADE&K: in water-soluble form.  Recommends a multivitamin from Bariatric Advantage that contains the proper amount of vitamins and ADE&K in one tablet

-Calcium: Calcium Citrate + D, 1200-2000 mg a day, no more than 600 at a time and not with iron

-Iron: 18 mg per day ferrous fumerate

I have nothing against Bariatric Advantage, I would love to be able to take it and have my vitamin needs met, especially since they have the Multi with ADEK now.  They didn't have that when I had my DS.

Unfortunately, my body needs much more than those multi's provide, and so do most DSer's.

Pill popping is getting on my nerves. but I know it's something I have to do for LIFE if I want to hang around!  I knew that out of the gate, but it does still bug me sometimes!

GRRR!!!

WOW you take very little. I have had to adjust a lot to find exactly what my body likes. My body is a complex puzzle, I am 10 months post op and my labs only need slight tweeks. I get my labs done every 3 months, as soon as I get a solid regime (which is very close i think) then I will do my labs every 6 months. I hope you are staying healthy with what you are taking, it scares me to see you take so little. I am not a doctor by any means but it just worries me is all.

I should also include that I get in 150g of protein minimum a day. Also I do not taken oral iron (because it rips me up badly) so I am a iron infusion gal:)

YEAH!!!!

This is what I'm talkin' about!!!

I don't feel right unless I'm working from a list a mile long, even though I'd like not to...just one thing you have to weigh (sorry for the pun!) before you decide to get on the DS Party Train!

Danni, I asked Tali this as well, and am wondering about the amount of dry vitamin A you are taking. Did you get to this dose based on labs, or some other way? 8 of those a day is waay more than I've ever taken of them, and am wondering if I've missed the memo at some point in time.

The only thing I am taking in addition to yours is 10,000 vitamin A x 2 a day.  Of course I am only 6 weeks out and have yet to have my frist labs done but this is what I was given as a regimen and I am going to stick with it until I get my labs back.
