Vit D Injection

I have had 25,000 units at a time from my old internist (in a different state).  The surgeon who did my surgery gives a 400,000 unit shot which they claim to last one year.  We are waiting until my 3 months labs to decide.  I was just wondering, has anyone had this shot?  If so, how did you feel afterword?  With the 25,000 unit , all I want to do is sleep for the next day.

I haven't heard of any DS'ers doing Vit D. shots ... though I'm very interested to see how it goes! My D is fairly good right now with my dry D so I wouldn't NEED one but it might be good.

I take 50,000 IU orally every day. I've never heard of getting D as an injection. Keep us posted on how this goes. Are you taking oral, dry D right now?

thought it was on these boards that people posted Dr. Smith does D injections. Would like more information too.

I have read lots of times of Dr. Stewart in Denton, Texas offering this, but he is the only DS surgeon that I know of offering it.  If I recall correctly, and I am not sure on this part, it isn't available commercially for doctors to buy, he specially orders if from a compounding pharmacy.

Oh.  My mistake, It probably was Stewart, not Smith.  Wonder how we could get more information about it?  I know a really good compounding pharmacist and a doctor who might order it, if I could give him the formula.

My internist on the west coast gives 25000 unit shots after he reviews bloodwork. 

Usually anti-aging Dr's give injectables of Vitamins as well as Hematologist.

Yea I can we please get some more info on these vitamin D shots!?  I am climbing my numbers slowly up from a 4 and I could REALLY use injections!
