Hi all, posting an update for Jamie here too, as she just had her very complicated hernia surgery on Tuesday, Sept 18. She asked hubby to post here for her ;) but he wasn't able to 'figure it out'. So I've talked to him, and sharing this latest/greatest with you. So far, so GOOD! Much smoother than they imagined, none of the complications,  and let's hope the recovery is that way too,  Jamie has been THROUGH it!

Later Thursday, Sept 20
I had the chance to actually talk to Jamie's husband Mark and he is soooo relieved, Jamie is doing really great. He's pretty impressed with how she's moving around, walking the halls. She's a STAR! He also said that the muscle issues they were concerned about, not being able to sew all three layers, that might have required muscle from her thigh(!!!!!!!!) didn't happen, they were able to sew all 3, no illeus, no nada! So they are hoping she will be released by Saturday. HOORAY, keep the good vibes coming, Mark says THANK YOU!

Thursday, Sept 20 Talk about good things come to those who wait...her husband left a message last night , Jamie's surgery not only went well, but better than expected! So much better that the 7 day hospital stay projected will now only be 3 or 4 days. He sounded nearly euphoric, you could hear the relief in his voice. I don't know any more specifics yet, but this is most welcome after all Jamie has been through. Please keep the thoughts/prayers/swinging and all else coming that Jamie's recovery remains SMOOTH.

Jamie has really been through it - the road leading to her revision, the revision itself which has caused problems with her job; and the subsequent issues which have now led to a very necessary, complex hernia repair. She's to be in the hospital for a week :( and there's additional complication she has to be mindful of - like illeus and, having to take muscle from her thigh to help close her up abdominally :( She explains a little more of her history here:

She had asked her husband to post an update on OH, that I was to copy here, but I haven't seen it yet. I have his number and will also call to see if I can find out how things went. Jamie has been through a lot, been very strong, but she has said she's very scared about this surgery. Please, continue to send prayers, swing critters, reki, light, however you send good wishes.

Jamie, SO hoping this is a smooth surgery and recovery for you and that at last, you can put this all BEHIND you!

Thank you so much for the update. She and I were texting before her surgery now for some reason my phone won't let me text her number. If you talk with her, or Jamie, if you see this, text or call Ruby please. I'm just wondering about you/her! Again, thanks for the update!
