Whey Protein Hydrolysate

I found a non-carbonated energy drink that has 15 grams of whey protein hydrolysate (also contains collagen hydrolysate) and 10 grams of carbs per can.

From what I read, this is a better protein choice?  Can someone please verify this for me?  Not because I'm lazy, but because I'm not a scientist and not sure if I'm interpreting what I read correctly.

Thanks!!

Don't know about the one, but collagen is an inferior source for us.
Have you checked Vitalady's site? She discusses the various types of protein.

Doesn't sound like the protein drink you're looking for. Check Vitalady's site as Gail suggested. You really want whey protein isolate as the first ingredient and no more than 2-3carbs per scoop of protein powder. Buy some samples and see what you might like best. My favorites are Syntrax Nectar chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Some folks like the fruitier ones and mix them with Crystal Lite.

Collagen as a protein source is bad only if there isn't an amino acid profile being added to it. Otherwise, if you add the appropriate amino acid profile it makes a complete/good form of protein.
