Reversing the DS part only

You do have me confused with another.
The resemblance between you and the lady I have you confused with is uncanny which tells me there must be others who are also suffering.
Clearly you are not alone and I'd hate for you to miss the opprtunity to learn from others who have gone through the same issues.

Rag,I don't know you nor have spoken with you before.
I had buyers remorse the first 3 months after I had my DS. And, I had researched the crap out of this surgery! At 3 months, things began changing! I began to feel good, and was able to tolerate more foods. Give it time, you will be so happy you did! Focus on protein and fluids for now. I am 2.5 years out, and I would do it again, and again! I get my protein in first, take my vites, (I'm on Vitalady's DS regime, and my labs are beautiful) and drink plenty of water. I take care of my DS, and it takes care of me!

Without you directly answering the questions that people asked you, it's going to be difficult for anyone to give you support or information.
You were asked for the name of your surgeon, because with the DS experience really matters. If you went to a reputable, vetted surgeons, and are having these issues, we can help you down that path. However, if you went to a surgeon that is known for not doing a standard DS, and having patients with problems, we would recommend a different path (for example, consulting with another surgeon and having some studies to see exactly what you do have).
Let's say the first scenario is true (and it might not be), that you went to a vetted DS surgeon. You are so early out in your recovery that it's too soon to tell how things will settle. It's entirely normal to have food intolerances and diarrhea for the first few months. Your body is ADAPTING to your new intestines, not REJECTING them. Frankly, that doesnt even make sense. There is no foreign body to reject, it's not like a transplant. You were given great advice on what to eat and how to stabalize your situation.
Now, let's say you went to a non-DS vetted surgeon. All bets are off. We've seen people with 20CM common channels, and all types of *******ized DS's. The reference you make to your surgeons protocol after surgery make me believe that you may have an issue like this. Before you go screaming for a revision, though, you should CONSULT with a vetted DS surgeon, who can do some studies to identify and help you with exactly what you're dealing with. It is almost unheard of to have "deficiencies" as you say at only 6 weeks out. Your body has stores of vitamins. You may have electrolyte imbalances and deficiencies based on your symptoms of diarrhea, but these can be corrected without a revision. You need to stabalize.
You mentioned medical problems and that you should have never had a DS. There are very few contra-indications to the DS. Do you happen to have Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis?
I would also recommend that you not blow off the help of that support group in Texas, or really anyone trying to help you at this point for that matter. They are some of the best DS supporters in the country. You came here asking for information and help, but wont answer questions directly and are alienating the people best positioned to help you. I rarely post here any more, but wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt and provide some information. I hope you are listening.

Inflammatory collitis is what the last GI Dr called it. As I said, I am going to a new GI Dr in the next few weeks who knows the DS Switch surgery.
I don't like to say anything ugly about the surgeon because there are those who love him and then those who don't. It is each individual's choice. My experience has been horrible. He is on the dsfacts website. He is not a "Bariatric Excellence Dr". I don't care to get into any kind of bruhaha over the surgeon. He supposedly knows what he is doing. I have met 5 other people (1 is a man who had surgery 2 days after me) who have had nothing but problems. From GI Bleeds to TPN therapy. I met only 1 person of his patients who has not had any problems.
I came here to this forum to seek answers. It seems as though you all know more about this surgery than anyone else - all of the realities - good and bad.
From right before my dietician training (which was a joke), I had computer issues so I was offline for most of the time during that time period. I sent my computer to the mfg. it took forever to get it back. Then finally got a new computer right before surgery.
I had a lot of signs before surgery to stop...translating to "Do not do this surgery". For the first time, I didn't pay attention to them. I wish I would have.
All I asked in my original question, has anyone ever had it undone and what was their experience.
I was told by 3 different surgeon's from the DS Facts websites, yes, we undo them all the time for different reasons. It's still a tough surgery but much easier than one thinks. The surgeon I went to doesn't believe in and I quote: "I will not undo my work".
As my BFF will tell you (who has known me 20+ years), I'm great at planning things. I am planning my next step in my life "VERY " careful... treading "VERY" carefully to make sure I don't make the wrong decision.
I am seeking answers right now, that is all. I'm trying to learn more and more.
I appreciate everyone who has been of encouragement!

I think you're ridiculous. Trust me--I NEVER talk like this to people on this board, but I just have to give you a wake-up call.
You are only about 2 months out from surgery. Your experience is 100% normal. What the hell did you expect after such a major surgery? I honestly want to know.
I was miserable and hating life for the first 3 months. I could barely drink a few ounces of water without throwing it back up. I threw up all the time. I cried regularly. Missed food. Wondered what the hell I did to myself, etc.
Every day things got a tiny bit better. I was finally able to eat a small meal without it coming back up. I was finally starting to have enough energy to get through the day. I was seeing the scale go in the right direction.
I really think you need to take a deep cleansing breath and suck it up. YOU ARE NORMAL (well, sort of--your major freakout and desire to reverse the DS is a way over-the-top reaction).
Only you and your doctors can decide what is best for you, but I think you should give it at least a year before you make such a stupid decision. JUST MY 2 CENTS.
Like I said, I never respond like this to posts--I just feel like I have to give you the advice you need. Please try to calm down. Focus on fluids, don't freak out about carbs this early out, try to get about 60 g of protein at this point in your recovery. If you only get 50 it's not the end of the world. If you can't get in all of your vitamins yet, it's not the end of the world. Just try to do a tiny bit better each day. Walk around your block (or living room if that is too hard). Please do not throw in the towel yet.
I'm sorry I seem so harsh...I hope you will realize that you need to calm down and try to enjoy the ride.
