Obstruction in esophagus?
My mom had an upper GI this morning. Apperently her esophagus is floating (her words not radiologists) it's not straight. Like a kink in a hose.
Had this done because at 10 weeks post-op she still can't eat hardly anything, still have a really bad gag reflex, and still getting the foamies her mouth. Dr. ordered this and next procedure will probably do a endoscopy and I guess they have a procedure (like an angioplasty) they stick a balloon in there to open things up or maybe straighten things out in her case. The incision is almost healed now just got done fighting off third infection so I think internally she is till healing from surgery, maybe why she is so slow to recover.
Anybody have to have this done?
The radiologist mentioned they have medicine for this sort of thing as well.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks
