! year Surgiversary this week !!! ;-)
Our heat wave broke, one cool day this week influenced me to make a big batch of bourito/taco filling. I changed it up 3 times by adding different seasonings and additions. Every dinner used the base ground beef/spaghetti sauce. Added an envelope of Taco Bell taco seasoning, served it w/sour cream, grated cheddar cheese, fresh guacamole, diced tomato, refried beans blended with melted cheddar cheese. The next night I mixed the meat sauce with mexican seasoned rice & beans- we made tacos w/lettuce, tomatoes, fine shreaded cheese, sour cream. My family made bouritos with large rappers, I omitted this opting for layers of meat sauce, beans, cheese, microwaved then topped with sour cream. Froze the rest in glass canning jars.

My Bites are packed with flavor. We use lots of spices all the time. I lived in the Carribean with my family for many years. The local house keeper taught me to cook the island way, never measuring," a pinch of this, a pinch of that". I could never repeat my recipies. They are complicated- using home made chicken stock from rotiserie chicken bones and skin, or pan drippings from steak w/seasonings. My rice is made with my chicken stock, adds more protein. Broccoli has to have cheese- I use the protein cheese powder mixed into a sauce. I'm always looking for ways to sneak in more protein. ;-)
I'm thrilled to be maintaining within 5 lbs of my goal weight for 4 months now. I dont think I will go any lower because my face is looking too thin. I'll have to get the plastic surgeon to work on my tummy and upper thighs. 4 more months to wait for plastics !!!! ;-)
