5 day Pouch Test

Hello - Has anyone heard of the 5 day pouch test?  It's supposed to be a "reset" diet or a way to get back on track if you start to regain weight.  Is this what I often hear people refer to as "getting back to the basics"?

I'm not sure if I set my goal weight at the correct amount, but I lost more than my goal now I've gained about 20 lbs since I reached my lowest weight.  I don't want to be at the lowest weight again, but I would like to lose 10-12lbs.  I'm just wondering if this pouch test a good start for DS.  Any suggestions?

The 5 day pouch test is for RNYs, not DSers . DSers have stomachs.
High carb shock is what I use if I see a pattern of regain, which I set at 5 pounds.
I have only had to use this twice in 3-1/2 years. Here it is:
Go to Krispy Kreme, get 2glazed doughnuts, a small orange juice, and a medium coffee with extra cream and sugar. Eat this meal at dinner time. Do this one day only, then resume your DS eating plan.
Since DSers rarely have significant regain issues, you will likely only have to use this early out. It's almost a like a first aid kit you keep in the house just in case.
Water loading and drinking dissolved meat tenderizer, to clear stuck meat is another RNY tool. DSers have the ultimate tool for weight loss.Go to www.dsfacts.com to learn about the WLS platinum standard of Bariatric surgery.

Check to see if you are eating to many carbs. If so I would go back to sticking with high protein. The 5 day pouch test supposed to work for RNY, I'm not even sure it works for them.

5dpt is basically another crash diet. Don't go there. No pouch, no resetting. Everyone I've read on OH that has done it, has done it multiple times.....if that tells you anything. You probably do need to re-evaluate your intake of protein vs carbs. That's generally the culprit.
