I am 19 days Post Op from a Lap-Band removal and revision to the DS. So far so good and most things are going as anticipated. However Iam still really low on energy.

Would like to know from others how long it took for your energy level to return to Pre Op levels..?

Any advice is appreciated. I need to get back to work but still really low energy levels...

Brent

I'm at 5 weeks yesterday and I feel soooo much better than I did even last week.  I still have to take a nap at lunch (this is my 3rd week back to work) but I can live with that.  Of course, I still nap on the weekends.

I feel like 6 weeks was my magic number. It was like a light switch for me. You will get there! Everyday is one step closer to feeling like you again

Dear all,

Thanks for your replies. I am 3 weeks Post-Op today.

The first 2 weeks was1 step forward followed by 2 backwards. Was starting to have some remorse...

These last 4-5 days have all been better. It helps to know I'm probably 1/2 way to feeling "normal" again.

I live in an area without Support Groups so thanks to all of you for your help and support.

Regards,
Brent

From what I experienced and from what others told me, the schedule for getting your energy back can be pretty uneven. First of all you will be exhausted from the healing process. Then during rapid weight loss, you put a lot of stress on your body with it trying to eliminate all the "waste products" of weight loss.

I took a good 6-7 weeks before I felt like myself again.  I was very listless during an otherwise picture-perfect recovery.
