Surgery tomorrow
Off to Montreal today for a date with Dr. Gagner in the morning. I am a bit nervous as can be expected but I am mostly excited. It's funny, I almost feel like I am not nervous enough. Maybe it's because I am ready for this or because I know Dr. Gagner knows his stuff or maybe it hasn't really hit me yet but either way, I'll take it.
Have a great day everyone.

Good luck and have a speedy recovery. Does he still do the DS in two surgeries and is it open or laproscopic?
Dr. Gagner pioneered the lap-DS and teaches it to other surgeons. He typically does the DS in a single surgery, though lately some patients have been having 2 procedures. He is an extremely skilled surgeon, but a complete ass-hat to deal with.
I had OHIP approved Duodenal Switch surgery with Dr. Dennis Hong at St. Joseph's Hamilton on March 7th, 2012. Want more information on the DS in Ontario? Send me a private message!
