I was just wondering how long it was before ya'll were able to return to work following the DS surgery.  My job is mostly sitting at a computer but I do work on the 2nd floor and have to climb stairs.  Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the info, I sure hope I can qualify and have it by christmas.  I get 2 weeks off due to work closure and was hoping not to miss much more than that.

My revision was open and I went back to work at 5 weeks, but it was really hard. I really needed about 6-7.

I went back to work after having major complications with my surgery in about 2 weeks.  Two weeks in the hospital and 2 weeks at home.  I am working full time and my Surgery was DS.

I took five weeks because I could and my job required lots of time on my feet (I'm an RN).  I probably could have returned after 2-3 if I was at a desk sitting.  I liked having the time to get my eating and bathroom routine in order though.

Physically, I could have gone back at least part time after a couple of weeks, but I would have been exhausted all the time.  Mentally, I was not ready...I was in a fog.  I stayed out the whole six weeks.  Stars were not a problem for me and would not have stopped me from returning.

Good Afternoon....

Mine was done lap.  Back in two weeks.  asked to go back sooner but denied.  No physical issues except for wanting to sleep all the time at work.  Almost 5 months out, rockin and rollin.
