Ferrochel Chelated Iron Bisglycinate - Good for DSers?
I'm worrking on an Iron deficiency, and my prescription wasn't called in to the pharmacy, so I took mattters into my own hands at the Health food store. This Ferrochel is a proprietary process of NOW Foods (also makes vites and herbals), and since I was told to take chelated Zinc for my deficiency in that, I was thinking chelated iron would be better absorbed as well.
Does anyone know about this?
Not sure. I know heme iron is supposed to be the best for us, then it's a toss up for carbonyl, polysaccharides and ferrous fumerate.

I asked my PCP for Proferrin Forte prescription - it was not called in - what I'm doing is a stopgap until I can get in and have a "come to Jesus" with her regarding my DS care. It may come down to my having to go to a gastroenterologist just to get the care I need. She was very good until recently. I suppose I didn't have the major nutritional issues going on that I do now, so she really didn't have to do anything.
