How soon after DS can I drive?
You people are really great-taking your time to share meaningful information.
It probably is going to be a while before I seriously consider the surgical route. I saw my PCP this morning for my annual physical and he suggests waiting a while to see how I do with my current program-which he is very pleased with, i.e. my daily 2. mile walks, workouts at the Y and high protein, low carb (20-50 daily) and what the lab results look like.
Thanks again for your sharing.

I think that's awesome! If you can be healthy without the surgery, that's definitely the way to go. I needed the surgery. I was awful about maintaining any wt loss. I would always regain plus more. But, post op, as my relationship with food has changed and my knowledge and perspective about nutrition has grown, I definitely wish I had used tools then that I use now - if for no other reason than truly being aware of what was going on with me and food.
Good luck!!!
