Onederland, skin and labs

I had the DS 10 months ago - started at 377 lbs.

This morning the scale said 198.8!  Hello ONEDERLAND! Yes that is a 176.2 lb weight loss in 10 months.

Went from size 34 to current 16 (which is loose).  I am approx 5'8".

Glucose went from over 150 to 83.

Cholesterol went from 236 to 123!

Sleep apnea gone.  AC1 went from 6.0 to 4.7

Starting BMI was 57.3 is now 30.2 (technically still obese).

And thanks to the great genes of my beloved mother (who passed from pancreatic cancer in 2008) my skin has rebounded pretty well and I hopefully will not need any plastics!

I had complications and for a while wished I had not gotten the DS - but now I am thankful everyday for my surgeon (Dr Sudan w/ Nurse Sheila) and this life changing surgery.  My sister is now preparing to have the same surgery and hope all goes well!

At my year anniversary I will post pre and post op pictures.  I did not take pictures before or during weight loss.  But I have a favorite picture of me and my mom before she died that really shows how much I weighed.  I will need my siblings to give me instructions on how to post to the website - but I will post them.

 Man I SOO happy for you! It sounds like you're doing fantastic! I'm hoping to get a revision to DS in the next few months and I LOVE hearing success stories like this. Keep up the good work!

Oh, you are such an inspiration for me!   I am about where you were when you started and this gives me something to really aim towards.  I would love to see your before/after photos.

Congrats! Wow how totally amazing. Your mom would be so happy for you. I find you totally inspring and you must be if your sister is going down the same road.
