Moving On

Enjoy your alone time!  It might seem scary, but I tell you - some of the best times I've ever had.  Nothing like silence and not having to worry about anyone but yourself.  Or in my case my little doggie buddies.

I'm terribly happy with my boyfriend and living with him, but there are moments I miss.

Trust me when I say at least you are moving on AFTER losing the weight....dating as a BBW these days leaves a LOT to be desired...ask me how I know!

It sounds like your BF may have needed some counseling to deal with the side effects to his ego following your weight loss since you mentioned his being posessive etc moreso lately. It  sounds like he had some insecurities that have only come to light now that youre a hot mamma with new habits and interests and men are probably taking more notice of you which he's probably threatened by. Its important for WLS patients to remember that although we are the ones transforming, there are psychological consequences for those we love as well. Either way, if he cant adjust he may have held you back without even realizing it or intending to (possibly even intentionally, the mind is a strange thing sometimes).

The good news is that youve probably already faced the biggest challenge of your life so living alone might just be something you find you enjoy for a while. Its a great time for figuring out who you really are and exploring your new self! Best of luck to you!
