 Hello Everyone...

I have a question, I had RNY back in 2009 and I am deeply thinking about DS surgery since I've been gaining weight with about anything I put in my mouth, not to mention I feel bloated all the time and my gas is terrible ( sorry about that).  I wanted to know if going from RNY to DS surgery would it be more complicated and is it also done laparoscopy ?

Thank You

Yes, it is more complicated. Only a few surgeons are experienced enough to do a RNY to DS revision. two are in California, Keshishian and Rabkin.

Yes, it can be done laparoscopically, but many of the revision surgeons do the procedure open.

You are so lucky to live in Dr. Keshishian's backyard. He's in North Glendale, the Verdugo Hills area. I traveled across the country for a virgin DS because he is just the best DS surgeon there is. For a complicated revision like yours, I wouldn't trust anyone else. He may be able to do it lap but it would depend on your cir****tances. He'd have to examine you first and probably do some tests.

Here is his contact info:
