LAB GURUS - Help needed please - 4 month post-op lab results
These are my 4 month post-op blood results. I realize that I was not tested for many of the suggested tests but getting tested for these was like pulling teeth.
Although I was blessed in having a great surgeon, the bariatric team providing the follow-up care has been terrible. Just to give you an example.... at my 2 week follow-up appointment I was given a prn follow up request and was told to go back only if I needed something. I had to insist to get a 3 month follow-up visit which was scheduled shortly after 4 months post-op.
So... tomorrow I am meeting with the surgeon who banded me 3 years ago. Although the band was a failure, this surgeon really cared and had great follow-up so I am hoping he will take me on again.
For our lab gurus... please advise me which test that were missed that I should insist on having... I know vit a for one
Many thanks in advance
Lynn

If you're following Vitalady's plan just keep doing it. Your 6 month labs should be a little better. These aren't terrible and when you post the 6 months labs you can see the trends. In addition to what has already been suggested you might also want to add vitamins B1-Thiamine and B6. Some of us can cut back on the B-complex once the numbers come up.
