I'm concerned about trending. I see some of the numbers while low, are technically in range, but do you have numbers from a previous lab to compare them too?
That can be enlightening, if something has gone from the top of the range to the bottom, you know it's plummeting despite being "in range".
If I recall, you don't have a typical DS configuration, and combined with the fact that you are needing creon to keep some flesh on, I'd be concerned about losing even more than the typical DSers. If it were me, I'd be doubling the recommended amount of protein to at least 200.

Hi Bearmom, yes I was the one who went in for a normal lab-DS & the staple gun misfired & I ended up with an open DS, then the doc said it was like sewing up wet bread & the tissues wouldn't hold where the gun may have damaged tissue - so they had to keep moving up until they got to healthier tissue; taking my duodeanal stump & my pyloric valve at the very bottom of the stomach it finally held. So I still have the longer banana shaped tummy aprox 6 oz & the (malabsorbtion) rerouting to 100cm common channel. I will be 2 yrs post DS on Jan 22nd. Just ran a 5K & feel very healthy. Doctors keep giving me a clean bill & saying my labs are 'good.' But now I want to try to compare the older labs more & see the trend I have... Thank for your in put,

Your albumin is low! You need more protein!
I'd like to see your PTH, and all your iron levels especially hemoglobin and ferritin.
If you don't increase your protein, you are going to find yourself in serious trouble.
What form of D is your genius PCM giving you?
Also when did you do labs before this - what were your levels then - it's very important to see the TRENDS. Are your protein and albumin levels lower than the last time?

I really stayed strict until I lost 100 lbs & then still didn't stray much until my goal weight, (stayed away from white flour & white sugar carbs, ect) And I was at the gym 4 days per week. So stay focused on using the 1st year as your window of opportunity to get your health back & get close to goal weight then you have the rest of your life to enjoy & get into a maintain routine. I check the scales daily to see what 'options' I have for that day & if I am 135 - 138 I stray away from carbs more, (and may work out more at the gym or stairs, ect.) & if I am at my regular 133 or less, I can taste more yummies that day! lol protein should be 1st choice, and some meats are harder for a new DS tummy to digest - you can just 'try' things & then go back and try/reintroduce them again later. But I eat lots of bacon on everything, and nuts are a go to along with peanut butter & lots of lunch meat & cheese. Yes, I have days when I just seem to eat simple carbs - but I watch the scale daily & go right back to a more regular eating pattern the next day.
