I agree. This is a message board, and all we have for emphasis and to make our point are the words we choose. In real life, we can use other visual and verbal clues - we can raise our voice, we can look shocked, etc. Here, all we have are words and they have to be used for emphasis.
There is a big difference between writing something like "I'm concerned you should go to the doctor now" and "For God's sake get your ass to a doctor now before you kill yourself". It's for emphaissi.
For me, too, I sometimes comment strongly on other people's posts even if I think they're beyond listening, understanding, or wanting the info. What we write here is archived for anyone to read and search, and I hold hope that even if the OP doesnt want to hear the advice that it's helping some lurker, somewhere.

There was a study a little while ago into why people cuss. You know what they came up with? Because it made people feel better.

Sometimes it really does. And the dog clearly likes it, since he always wags when I talk to him in sentences with every other word being an obscenity.
I hope you gave the fuzzy butted one a treat for Thanksgiving. Bear just loves having lots of relatives show up, but I'm not sure if it's because he is just an attention ***** or because he has hopes we will drop slabs of meat and cheese as we mill about. He does love babies - they are just little slot machines paying out snacks nonstop.

Fuzzy Butt is off of human food as he has put on some weight since we have been here but he did get a 2 foot long bully stick for the holiday. He is so funny when anyone is eating. He just sits there like "I'm such a handsome dog. You should just give me all of your food."
