i've gotten to the point where I can taste the gunk they pump those poor cows full of. Fresh venison tastes like good food to me. I just finished sighting in my new scope on my very first ever new rifle. Deer season starts on the 19th here so we are getting geared up now. And for those of you that would like to know the nutritional value of venison: http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=139 Save a cow eat a deer! lol

Okay, my inner beef producer is coming out. WHAT "gunk" do you taste? Show me proof of the gunk being put into your "poor cows," how, when and where.

You are buying into propaganda my dear. Enjoy your venison but knock off the anti beef propaganda.

Dad's a rancher, (in Montana) my ex used to work in a feed lot (in Colorado) so I know they give them vaccinations and antibiotics as needed to keep them healthy, i've seen the schedules for them. And thats what I can taste. I'm not anti-beef, I was raised on beef. Up until about 3 years ago I ate beef as much if not more than any other meat. But since my hysterectomy, beef tastes weird. Deer dont get vaccinations or antibiotics. Deer doesnt taste weird.

You'll have to do better than that my dear. Show me WHAT gets put in WHERE and WHEN and then WHAT you taste. With your history of spouting random unresearched crap out of your ass, I have learned to question you far more carefully than that.

Beef may very well taste weird to you. But you are not tasting antibiotics or vaccinations. Nor are those "poor animals" (implying the cattle are abused or mistreated) "pumped full" of ANYTHING. You are spouting mindless propaganda with that statment and you are doing a disservice to the industry. Show me PROOF or retract that statement.

Unlike most of your readers here, I actually KNOW what I'm talking about and can back it up with real research and industry standards.

So, which of these vaccines do you taste?

Which of them do you think should not be used?

http://pubstorage.sdstate.edu/AgBio_Publications/articles/ex ex2056.pdf

Or how about this very important prerequisite for bringing good quality animals into a "natural" feeding program? (Which, btw, takes place in a feedlot.)

Where are the routine, unneeded and excessive antibiotics in this 26-part feeding program? http://www1.agric.gov.ab.ca//deptdocs.nsf/all/beef12065

I have said to you many times that you talk out your ass without any critical thinking or real research or knowledge. You've done it again here. If you have roots in beef production, then stop talking smack about the industry that does so much to feed, clothe and otherwise supply America. You don't know WTF you're talking about.

The fact that YOUR TASTES changed post hysterectomy does not in any way equate to being able to taste vaccines or antibiotics or any other medication or nutrient given to a calf being fed out for beef production.

I do not doubt for a moment that this information is wasted on you. But perhaps someone else will get a little bit interested in learning about the high standards and excellent quality control that underlies most North American beef production.

One more bit of information, this time in a picture:

You're right. I sometimes post without thinking things all the way through. Will shut up now.
