Pain

Sorry for asking another question about pain.. I usually dont' have pain an occasional headache here and there but since last night, I have had left sided abdominal pain, not doubled over type pain but alot of discomfort.  Could it be gas pain? Even though I am passing gas. 

I hate to complain but this is just very uncomfortable.

Could be gas passing through the area where your intestinal limbs join together. That can be a bugger.

Could be other things, too, though, so if it gets worse or does not abate, call the doctor. And DO NOT WAIT TIL MONDAY if it gets worse. GO TO THE ER.

Who handles weekend calls at your surgeon's practice?

Thank you so much for your quick reply.. I just took an ultram and gas ex. I will see if that helps..   If it persists should I call the surgeon's office or my primary dr?   I know it's not the gallbladder since that is on the right side.  So I shall see..

Well, are you likely to get a response from your primary? Cuz with your surgeon's practice that's not a given. I'd call the one you think you're more likely to actually hear from in a decent time frame.
