Questions about CT results

I got my results today and was told the pain in my side looked like cholesterol breakdown. So, is that fat breaking down and leaving my body? I hope? I didn't ask what can/should be done about that because I haven't had pain in almost a week. What can be done if the pain comes back? Can this turn into a blood clot?
Also, they confirmed my umbilical hernia which is causing so much pain that it kept me up all night and I am being referred to a surgeon in Hamilton, ON who actually also does virgin DS. Not sure how to deal with hernia pain either as the surgery is likely 6+ months away.

Sure wish I knew an answer for you. Wonder if there is something on internet about it. Maybe someone will chime in soon that can answer. Praying all goes well with you and that your surgery is is soon!
