I'm allergic too. They gave me some sort of spray to spray on my skin before putting on the tape. Sorta kinda helped (no really). I was dealing with the rashes (to the point of bleeding) due to the wound packing and needing the tape apparently.

a good skin barrier type thing is called skin-tac, we use it for my daughter's pump sites and it helps hold it in place even when wet but it also make it so she doesnt get a big red spot where the adhesive was touching her skin.
