I think it was phrased more like "When you meet her, you'll know she could be no one other than who she is.  You'll say 'Ah, of course! Had I painted a picture from my mental image, you are what I would have painted'."

And you, my dove, are a delight to the eyes and soul,  refreshingly direct and honest while being genuinely caring.  As Steve put it, "what you see is what you get with that one!"

The others of the group were wonderful as well.  There was a certain amount of the 'Well, naturally, that is who and how she is' with them, too.  And also some surprises.   We had a great time with 'all y'all'.

Hugs all around!  And really big thank yous for really making us feel a part of a family.

It's OK to tell now - we're home.  Need to be careful when in litigation with a restraining order involved.

It was wonderful meeting up with all of you!  Spa day, fancy schmancy dinner - but most of all, meeting the good doctor and his "wrangler" in person!  And Sandy, whom I SURE I met before (but then again, it is possible that I am wrong - supposedly, it could happen ...).

Great fun was had by all - but unless there are pictures, it didn't happen!

Diana, whether we met before or this was the first time it was very nice spending some spa time with you and dinner with you and your Mr.

It seems to me that I recall a camera flash or two so perhaps there is some incriminating evidence somewhere?

I'm on a hot date with the Mrs. It's our last night in Vegas. I'll send you the pics when I get back to our room for your approval. Pics of our group that is -- not Rags and I. . .

I regret to inform you that there seems to have been a pixel shortage in wherever the hell it was we all were.

You may believe that it all happened or you may declare it a hallucination.  Your choice.

Finally...the truth....someone in someplace finally got a restraining order against you.  Were you talking trash about dogs?

Could be - I have a laptop and know how to use it!  But for good reason, I don't want certain people to know when I'm out of town.

Talking trash about dogs?  Why would I want to do that?  The sanctimonious forum nannying sorts do the job pretty well all by themselves.

As for your original point, apparently I am *NOT* the same person in person as I am on the internet - I am not quite the big meanie IRL, at least not to most people.  In fact, my deliberately snarky posts about the DS get readers and teach good information in a way that STICKS with people.  It's not my normal way of talking to people in real life, but I have fun having somewhat of an alter ego, since it does a lot of good to use it.

I think it is fun to meet people who only know me from the interwebz and expect me to be different than I am.
