At ease (a little)

Dr. Buchwald just called me!  I was asking Danette (his coordinator) some questions on Friday that she thought would be better suited for him to answer, so she had him call me.  My mind was put to ease a little learning that he feels that my open DS will have about the same recovery rate as my lap sleeve did.  He plans to do a 75cm common channel and not re-sleeve, so my incision will be very short.  I was a little concerned about not re-sleeving because my sleeve was done incorrectly and is very large.  He said that there were just more studies released that indicate that the success rate for re-sleeving is very low and he feels that it would add more danger to my surgery than needed.  He said at best, it would help me for the first few months, then not at all again.  I'm so happy he called me back to clarify the questions I've had.  Excited!!
