I lost my son at 23 from a seizure It's very hard . That was 10 years ago you will always feel the loss.
This is a poem that helps me. I have his picture and poem framed on my wall
A Child Loaned
"I’ll lend you for a little while
A child of mine," God said.
"For you to keep him warm and loved
nurtured and well-fed.
It may be two or three short years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I call him back
Take care of him for me?
I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked the wide world over
In my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life’s lane,
I have selected you;
Now will you give him all your love,
Nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call
And take him back again ?
God surely heard the family say,
"Dear Lord, Thy will be done,
For all the joy the child shall bring,
the risk of grief I’ll run.
I’ll shelter him with tenderness,
I’ll love him while I may,
And for the happiness I've known,
Forever grateful I will stay.
But should the angels call for him
Much sooner then we planned,
I’ll brave the heavy heart that comes
And try to understand.

Eve, I am so very sorry to hear about your grandson. I am praying for you right now as I type.
Please, give grief counseling a chance. It's a great opportunity to find some support and coping skills that will help you through.
Please check in and let us know how it's going. (((Eve)))

I am so, so sorry to hear this. My twins graduated High School this past May with a girl that passed away in July, of an asthma attack. Go to the support group to check it out. There are also support groups specifically for children that have been taken by asthma. (Facebook) Prayers will be said for you and your family. Cathy
