My husband memtioned that today. I thought it would be a gradual process to lactose intolerance but you may be right. I think I will switch to almond milk tomorrow. I am using greek yogurt in the shakes with iso pure.

Oh darling, the milk products....except for cheese will definitely have me RUNNING to the bathroom, even now. During this procedure, even now....I'm constant paying attention to what affects me.  Just put it this way, whenever I want ice cream, I'm home alone.....lol.   And I'm okay with it...not often.

I find that carbs make me poop. A lot. I avoid milk, soy milk, almond milk, etc as they all have a lot of carbs. I mix a little half and half with water to make my shakes. I also can't eat crackers or bread or pasta as the carbs will make me poop. A lot. Some artificial sugars also make me poop. A lot. If I stick w/protein I do much better and only do a little pooping. Not a lot.

I am not like I was before. I thought that nothing would change me. ~Sinead O'Connor

You just had your intestines rearranged, they are going to be messed up for a couple months. Try adding a probiotics and take your calcium, it will firm it up. Be patient w your body, it is healing from major major surgery.

I had watery stools for the first month after surgery. It will gradually get better. It won't always be like that, so don't freak out! Your body has to get used to the fact that your intestines are no longer the same as they once were. Just give it time. You'll be "normal" again.

Yes it does get better, just put it like this....the first month to two can be consider hell month....it all depends on how you handle it....You must be prepared.   After the second month it was much easier. You will eventually realize you can not treat your new body like you use to, by eating the old way.  It gets better Trust, besides the stinky stool, I'm in heaven.
