OT - Responding Well to Treatment

How are you handling the side effects of the chemotherapy? I have a dear friend whom I went to college with, who is a physician - a mammography radiologist in fact - who got breast cancer, and she used acupuncture to deal with the chemotherapy side effects. She never puked, never felt uncomfortably ill. I don't know if it would be helpful to you, nor whether I believe in acupuncture, but I know it worked for her.

Chemo makes me very tired, decreases my appetite for the first few days after treatments, makes me nauseaous on & off for the first week, and makes me terribly absent-minded/forgetful - difficult to concentrate at times. The latter one, apparently, is called "chemo brain". They've tried adjusting my anti-nausea meds, which was an improvement (taking more of the sublingual), but I still have it. All & all, pretty tolerable, though. I really can't do acupuncture, it's just a $$ issue, but that's okay :)
