Hello Again.
Foot pain was the major motivator in my decision. I was in pain ALL the time, and could not do anything I enjoyed (like...um....walking!). I can remember my feet throbbing even at night when I was not on them.
I believe it was divine intervention that my foot pain literally ended the DAY I had my DS. I don't know why it worked like that - I was still fat after surgery. But, it sure helped my recovery that I was able to walk without pain.
Life is so good now. I go to parks and walk trails. I enjoyed the state fair - something I had not gone to for years before my DS, because of the walking. I can buy cute shoes and wear them! Two years later, I'll be walking someplace and still say - "I can't believe how wonderful it is not to be in pain."
You're going to be the same way!
Congrats!
Christy
