Thank you, prettypixels! You are welcomed about the pic.  We covered all we could without covering the tubes. The On-Q pump tubes were really interesting to me. You wouldn't believe just how hair-like the tues were in size. Amazes me.

so was this an open surgery or a lap surgery?

that's an open incision.  When you get a lap, there are 5-6 small incisions around the belly.  I had lap, 5 sort of look like a smile on my belly and then 1 small eye on the right side. 
I didn't have any drains or tubes sticking out of me so that picture is quite different than mine looked.  My surgeon used steri strips on the incisions which look like little strips of white tape.  They came off after about 12 days.

Yes, it was open. I really did not mind it being an open procedure. My goal was to be switched in a safe, responsible way and I was. You just need to go with what is important to you.
