turkey brine recipe

I have used different brines for different recipes, depending on the flavor I am looking for.  Here is the one I tend to use the most with pork chops:

btw, the creamed leeks in that recipe are to die for!  I have yet to see a brine used for red meat but I like to brine turkey and pork.  I have also brined chicken using leftover pickle juice or the juice from a jar of pickled jalapenos.  I have never brined chicken when making fried chicken but I do let it soak overnight in buttermilk and sliced onions.

I am with you on the buttermilk for fried chicken but not tried it with soaked onions.  Might have to try that one soon.  Interesting on the pickle juice or jalapenos.  Going to try your pork chops this week.  Let you know how they turn out and thanks again.
