Anyone have suggestions of a good, informational DS book?

I've never even HEARD of one. Your best resources are this board and www.dsfacts.com.

www.DSFacts.com and this forum.

I wonder who long it would take someone to read this entire forum?

We should all collaborate here and WRITE a ds book and then use the money proceeds to help people without insurance get the DS ;-)

was thinking the same thing. Might help out our dieticians and surgeons (who often don't do nutrition) as well.

(Repost from last year...)

These are not books solely about the DS, but each below has substantial information about the DS included as well as other bariatric surgeries and related topics.

These fall along the lines of medical textbooks. (Doctors addressing other doctors or students.) I have been able to check these out from my library; what my local library doesn't have, it is able to obtain through loan from other libraries.

These books are very thorough, include detailed studies and diagrams, present all the reasons "why" the switch, and help the reader understand potential complications and their treatments. Some cover vitamin deficiencies and their symptoms as well as revisions.

Each of the books mentioned include articles by multiple experts in the field... doctors whose names you will recognize from dsfacts.com as well as others...

The table of contents and indices are huge (or I would post them here.)
Some can also be purchased in e-book format from online textbook companies.

The fastest info is on the web. It takes years to get books published and you need newest medical info.

I read wls for dummies to get a general wls ideas. I think there is two paragraphs on ds, but it was a good overview of wls in general.
