When it comes to being put out for surgery, should I explain to my dentist about the DS?I am being put out for oral surgery,am afraid he will not give enough or too much.I guess I just answered my own question. I will explain it to him and hope he gets it.lol

Has the DS had any effects on how anathesia (sp) responds with your system?

I had my DS last Oct and I just had my tubes tied, a polyup removed and an ablation done about 5 weeks ago now and had no problems with the anethesia, I just had an endoscopy yesterday and was sedated and had no problems with that either.

I had oral surgery a few months after my DS.  It never was an issue.

I didn't have oral surgery, but did have a total thyroidectomy 2 months after getting my DS.  I did explain to the anesthesiologist the DS just in case, but he said it was not a concern unless I was given medication the is absorbed in the digestive system.  I received gas (inhalant) and IV medication without incident.  So, ask your dentist which kind of medication he will use and explain the DS just on the chance he plans to give you an oral medication.
