For the benefit of DS Newbies~~Revisions~~Photo ***** THREAD!!!!!!

As a "spin-off" to Nicolle's thread I thought that We could also use a thread for revisions, even if you have not had your revision yet, or reached goal..... PLEASE post here!!!!!

I had my RNY in 2002, not knowing that the malabsorption would not last.  Not knowing that the DS even exsisted, either.  I have been trying to get my revision from my 2002 RNY to a DS since 2009.  I have had my appeal denied through my secondary insurance.  I have a hearing scheduled in mid-November.  I live in Alaska, but I plan on traveling to California to have my complicated revision done.  Please keep in mind that there are not even 10 surgeons who do a revision from RNY to DS in the United States!!!!!  So, my advice to anyone considering ANY surgery, please RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!!


As the DS vets say: Think twice, cut once

And today, in 2011.............. This summed it all up: There is no point in losing weight and then gaining it back. This only causes enormous psychological devistation.
