Thanks to everyone for all of the support, prayers, positive thoughts, and swinging of critters. It was really great and gave me some much needed confidence. I almost left the hospital when getting prepped for surgery. The nurse told me, "You can leave any time honey, if you want." I thought about it.

My surgery was longer than expected and that means it was more difficult than expected. Problems arose, but Dr. S just worked around them or kept at it. The surgery remained lap, but instead of 5 ports I have 10. I also have a full fledged Duodenal Switch! Woot!

I want to thank all of you. Thank you so much to the people on here that provide info EVERYDAY to newbies. I would've had a RNY for sure if I hadn't come here and had great people to show me the light, or rather the dark. Thanks to the vets, thanks to the newly out, I am so grateful and indebted to you fine people.

I really want to thank Vanishing Mom or Joianne. She is an angel in every way. She helped my husband during my surgery when he was afraid of losing his wife. She got the word out to people and defended me even. She has given so much support, advice, and answered many questions. She has also been my friend. She is a beautiful person inside and out and I love her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Joianne, you are wonderful.

Now I continue on in pursuit of health and hotness. I'm dealing with fluid intake and vitamins currently and gas that makes me feel like my colon might drop out of my ass. Everyday gets better and everyday I'm closer to salami and provolone.

Thanks to everyone.

Sorry to hear it was rougher than expected!  But, you are on the mend!  Just hang in there!  After 3 months, I really started to realize I could do this!  It gets better and better!  Congrats on getting your very own DS!
