Planters Warts and DS, connected?

I had a cluster of three on my heel and it took over a year of going to the dermatologist once a month to get them removed.  He didn't want to dig them out because they were so deep and he was afraid I'd have trouble walking if he had to surgically remove them.

Every month he'd scrape all the callouses off my heel (VERY important).. freeze the beejjeeeezus out of them with liquid nitrogen and then he applied squaric acid all over.

Itched like crazy, but they've been gone over a year now with no recurrence.
