Can anyone tell me what insurances cover the DS without hassle? I live in Calif. Thanks  Dolly

 I don't know about the hassle factor yet, because we are still getting my psychologists report to be able to send in my application, but Medicare does have a benefit for DS. It is listed in the same sentence as RnY, so I am hoping that they will consider it a similar option, with a similar hassle factor.

I have a Medicare Advantage program, so I am dealing with an insurance company that has to follow the Medicare guidelines, so we shall see...

I have Ohio BC/BS with HCR Manorcare. It seems like each insurance is different depending on your employer.

I had zero hassle getting the VSG approved, took all of a week to get approved. I did more research and decided it was NOT the thing for me by itself. My stuff was resubmitted a week ago for the DS to my insurance. I'm still waiting. It should work the same as the DS is listed under bariatric surgeries, along with the RNY and VSG.
