Living in Fear of Wt gain.
Oh you poor dear. I am so sorry that this is not the joyful time it should be for you.
I have been on steroids twice since my DS. I gained up to 20 pounds. The good news is, the weight came off without any heroic measures on my part. Just regular high protein DS eating. It didn't fall off quickly. A couple of pounds a month or so. But, it did come off without any real effort on my part.
Yes, watch the carbs, but don't stress too much about it.
And save those receipts. You may end up in 10's.

Two things -
First, I doubt you are done losing. You've got major medical things going on, and your body is going to be back in healing mode for a while. Remember, most of us "stall" a month or so out from our DS. I'd imagine something similar would happen after other major surgeries. I am two years out, past my goal, and still losing slowly. Try to relax :). I personally would not work out in any serious way until you are all healed up. I'd just walk if it were me.
Second, even if you never lost another pound, you are a raging, unqualified, amazing success!!!! Your PCP is probably doing backflips. You've lost a PERSON! You've lost two newborn calves! You've lost almost five bags of dog food. You've lost over 20 gallon jugs of water! Yay YOU!
Don't ruin this with worrying excessively about weight gain. Don't sabatage yourself. Weigh yourself once a week, and if you are up a little, watch your carbs a bit more for a week or two. But, I bet you will start losing again, soon enough.
Congratulations, and ENJOY THIS!

Thank you Christy
I really never looked at my wt loss as losing 2 calves lol. That is pretty funny but you are right. I am happy where I am at but I did expect to be closer to goal before stopping the loss.
I am gonna relax, really this time I am taking a vacation from it all and just gonna go have fun with friends and family. I hope I am good to go with PS to participate in a horse backriding weekend in a couple weeks.
