Niacin Deficiency Help

For the last 3 weeks or so my tongue feels like it is on fire (and it hurts!)  and there are multiple very enlarged papillae.  It is also very red.

Dr. Google diagnosed niacin deficiency.  I have been taking 200g niacin twice a day in my B-Complex.  The only thing that has changed is that I have been avoiding flour products as they have been giving me intestinal distress.   I know that many flour products are enriched with niacin.

I added 500 mg twice to three times a day for the last 5 days and my symptoms are really improved.  But they are not gone.   Anyone else deal with this?  How much do you take as a maintenance dose?  What else would case a niacin deficiency?  How long did it take for your symptoms to totally go away?

wow, 1500 mg seems like an awful lot.  Are you planning on knocking it back down?  I think when you're  on high doses for that you are suppose to be under a doctor's care and have liver function tests
